Jul 28, 2012 · I would guess that this unit still draws a good bit of power at 12v. Many truckers now have what amounts to a diesel generator installed on the frame rail of the tractor. This generator provides power for heat or AC without running the main diesel under the hood. I suppose fitting one of these to an RV would be an interesting project.
